One of the things that really sucked when I got to high school is the fact they took RECESS off of us! Is this a wise decision? Well I hated it. Recess was a time to let loose, it was a time to run and play. Recess was my favorite part of school.
You know how when you’re in elementary school and they want you to solved equations like E=mc2. They also want you to spell things like australopithecus, Canis lupus familiaris, and Equus grevyi? YEAH THATS RIGHT YOU NEED RECESS AFTER THAT!
OK so when you get to high school they say, “NO MORE RECESS?” Give me a break man! I went through hormone changes, frustration level went up, got irritable leg syndrome from having to sit at my desk for hours. To sum it up it was a total nightmare without recess!
Homeschool rocks. We can have two 15 minute recesses. The ability to be able to go outside and let loose is part of a great learning experience. Kids are safer and learn more!
NOTE: This article has been endorsed by high school students everywhere! Give us some recess people, we need it!
Since we have been through this entire ordeal I am totally surprised at many peoples ignorance when it comes to child safety. Some including school officials make the defense that this is a big nation and you are going to have things like this happen from time to time. What a hogwash excuse for ignoring child safety!
I would like to educate people on the use of straw man arguments. This is the nature of an argument. Lets say that we are talking about child seat belts in cars. Someone then makes an argument that motocycles do not have seat belts so we should not have child restraints in cars. Disingenuous people make these kinds of arguments to throw you off from your real purpose.
God let it happen!
I would also like to share something that really goes overboard on our responsibility to keep children safe. Many people have made the argument to me that God let this happen to Faith. This is a completely ignorant straw man argument. Think of all the horrific things that have happened in history and you are going to justify this by saying God let it happen? How disingenuous is that? Then they continue their madness even further and ask me if I believe in God and if I believe he has the power to prevent things like this from happening? They work from this disingenuous platform with these strawman arguments that I find completely stupid! Years ago I became an atheist because of similar arguments like these. I am no longer an atheist because I let the evidence lead me to conclude from scientific and apologetic research that there is a cause for the effects that we see. However if you want to know what God says, here is what he says. Get off your ass and accept responsibility people! How’s that for what “God Says”? Now I am not going to pretend to know what “God Says” or does but all I know is the people that use these arguments are in real danger of losing their Faith!
Child safety is not a choice, it’s a responsibility!
Child safety is not a choice, it’s a responsibility! I spoke with a former employer of mine because I wanted to time a loaded truck at 6 to 10 MPH and then see how fast it takes to stop it. It is a simple test, trucks do it every day all day long billions of times. He had the nerve to tell me, “It’s not my kid, I don’t want to get involved!” I told him that I would keep the company name out of the video. He said, “NO WAY”. I thought to myself, what a punk! Mind you I went and helped this man move his furniture in his house on my own time, supported him when he was appointed to a supervisor at JB Hunt in Ellwood City forge. His name is D**a C****y and he is no longer my friend! What a jerk! I find that even though people have children of their own they could care less about other peoples children or what happens to them. Is this what America has become? I certainly hope not, it is only those few people that really SUCK! I have been contacted by several different truckers all over the United States ready and willing to do the test.
Do something about Child Safety!
So we can sit on our assess and say that someone should really do something about child safety or we can do something about it! I have greatly improved the Faith McCullough Foundation website where concerned citizens, parents, students, teachers and more can report unsafe conditions that children may be facing. You can easily read the reports of other schools and make your own reports. Creating awareness is the first step to child safety in America and making those accountable who are in charge of our childrens safety! You can also download the app on Google Play. It is called Faith Child Safety App.
